Friends and family raise money for the Schoolbox Project

Refugee Impact started 2 years ago when we learned of an awesome initiative based out of Sebastopol, California, supporting trauma informed care for “the littlest victims of war.”

Friends and family both in California and around the country came together to host over a dozen fundraisers, pulling together over $11,000 in just a few months to bring to Greece and help start an educational program for recent arrivals from Syria.

The program has grown immensely since then, offering trauma informed care after natural disasters in the United States, to refugees in Burma, as well as in several locations in Greece. Check them out at
